Recognize Early • Stabilize Effectively • Improve Neonatal Outcomes
A one-day neonatal stabilization course designed for nurses and healthcare professionals caring for newborns.

This course provides evidence-based education on the assessment and resuscitation of newborns who require support at birth. Participants will learn key principles of neonatal resuscitation, teamwork, and stabilization through interactive learning and skills practice. Courses are available for both Essential and Advanced Providers.

This course teaches healthcare professionals how to perform a systematic physical and gestational age assessment of the newborn, including evaluation of key physical and neuromuscular findings to support accurate assessment and early recognition of potential concerns.

The STABLE Program (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support) is an internationally recognized neonatal education program focused on the post-resuscitation care and stabilization of newborns.
This one-day instructor-led course provides healthcare professionals with practical knowledge and evidence-based strategies to recognize neonatal deterioration and implement appropriate stabilization measures following initial resuscitation.
Participants will review key components of neonatal stabilization including glucose management, thermoregulation, respiratory support, perfusion assessment, laboratory evaluation, and family-centered emotional support. The course emphasizes early recognition of clinical changes, critical thinking, and effective stabilization practices that support safe neonatal outcomes across multiple care settings.

Participants must:
• Complete the STABLE Foundations online module prior to class
• Review the STABLE 7th Edition Provider Manual
• Attend the full in-person course
Participants who do not complete the Foundations module prior to class will not be able to participate.
To successfully complete the course participants must:
• Attend the full course
• Participate in course activities and discussions
• Successfully complete the post-course knowledge assessment
Continuing Education (CEs) will be available upon successful completion of the course.
The STABLE 7th Edition Provider Manual is required.
